Chainsaw Safety

Join us for a women-led chainsaw safety training designed to help you build confidence in using a chainsaw, whether you’re a complete beginner or looking to improve your skills. This hands-on, full day workshop, will be led by experienced instructors from Women’s Tree Climbing Workshop®, L3C, and cover the fundamentals of safe chainsaw operation, maintenance, and essential safety practices.

What You’ll Learn:

  • Please feel free to bring your saw and PPE if you own it.
  • Proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE)
  • Chainsaw anatomy, safety features, and basic maintenance
  • Safe cutting techniques and body positioning
  • How to handle reactive forces and safely move with a chainsaw

This seminar focuses on safety and skill-building, ensuring that participants are comfortable using a chainsaw for smaller-scale tasks like cutting up firewood, trail clearing and pruning.  Please note: This training will not include tree felling.
