Calling all Pride Hikers! Join us for a short, winter hike at Mt. Philo State Park in Charlotte, Vermont. This park has a gorgeous view of Lake Champlain and the Adirondacks from the summit. We'll use the Summit Trail to climb up the mountain and will plan on taking the access road down in hopes that there is snow to sled down! Otherwise, we will likely pivot to the Devil's Chair Trail or do an out/back on the Summit Trail. There are picnic benches and Adirondack chairs at the summit for us to enjoy the views and some warm cider from.

LGBTQIA++ and allies of all ages welcome! If under 18, please come accompanied by an adult.

Dogs welcome, but must stay on leash.

What to wear/bring:

  • A pair of warm, waterproof boots that are comfortable to hike in
  • Warm layers (hat, mittens/gloves, neckwarmer, etc.)
  • Microspikes and/or trekking poles
  • A travel mug for hot cider (I will have disposable cups, but your drink will stay warm in an insulated mug!
  • A SLED! Audubon has several to borrow that are small, scooting-style sleds (see this link for similar style).
